You've decided to get married. Part of your planning and
preparation is selecting a Celebrant to perform your wedding. You want a
Celebrant who will listen to you and work with you to produce a ceremony that is
truly magical, truly memorable and truly YOU.
I will be honoured to be chosen as your Celebrant. To help you reach that
conclusion, permit me to outline for you the process that I commit to with all
couples who engage my services.
 |
We meet and talk about your wedding ceremony - the type of ceremony you
both desire and how you picture it happening. If you like what you see in me
and decide to proceed, we complete the initial legal paperwork - the Notice of
Intended Marriage. This meeting usually lasts an hour to an hour and a half.
|
 |
We also think about the general structure of the ceremony. I provide you
with a booklet that contains examples of vows and readings and lots of ideas
for ceremony. This is for you to take away and peruse at leisure.
|
 |
We meet a second time a month before the big day. It's at this meeting
that we finalise the order of ceremony, the chosen readings and vows and other
elements of ceremony you have decided you wish to incorporate. At this meeting
I review with you a draft of the ceremony introduction that I have worked up.
Together we agree on the type of language and nature of the sentiments
expressed.
|
 |
In the month preceding the ceremony we communicate by phone or email to
finalise the wording of the ceremony and other arrangements as required.
|
 |
In the week before the ceremony we conduct a rehearsal with all
participants present [where possible]. This helps to ensure smooth running on the day.
|
 |
On the day of the ceremony I arrive 30 minutes before-hand to arrange the
ceremonial setting and reassure all participants. |
